Our Family Heritage

At Liberty Accounting, our commitment to integrity, hard work, and service is rooted in our family history.

Our family is deeply proud of our grandfather, Gyani Bachan Singh, who was a freedom fighter during India’s struggle for independence under British rule. His courage, resilience, and dedication to justice continue to inspire us today.

We are equally proud of his academic achievements. In 1935, he earned his Gyani (Honours) in Punjabi Language and Literature from The University of the Panjab, a distinguished accomplishment during a time when higher education was a privilege attained by very few. His passion for learning, culture, and education left a lasting legacy that continues through future generations.

The values he embodied—honesty, perseverance, education, and service to others—remain at the heart of Liberty Accounting. We strive to honor his legacy by providing our clients with trusted professional advice, exceptional service, and unwavering integrity.

My grandparents from both my father’s and mother’s sides played a remarkable role in shaping our family’s values. Through their resilience, discipline, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to education, they helped raise my parents with strong moral character and a deep respect for hard work and integrity.

My proud mother and father later raised a loving family of eight children, where we were taught the importance of integrity, kindness, respect, and helping others. Growing up in such a close-knit family taught me the value of hard work, staying humble, and treating every person with care and dignity.

These family values continue to guide both my personal life and the way I serve my clients today.

In 1985, my family was blessed with the opportunity to immigrate to Canada through the generosity and support of my eldest brother and sister-in-law, who sponsored our family to begin a new life here. I will always be deeply grateful for their love, sacrifice, and belief in our future. Canada gave our family incredible opportunities, and I take great pride in helping other individuals, families, and businesses succeed financially in this country we now proudly call home.

My gratitude toward Canada is also reflected in the Liberty Accounting logo, where the Canadian flag symbolizes appreciation, opportunity, freedom, and the countless blessings this country has provided to my family over the years. I have also always felt a strong connection to the symbolism of the scales, especially as a Libra born in October — representing balance, fairness, integrity, and thoughtful judgment — values that closely align with both my personal beliefs and the foundation of Liberty Accounting.

With over 25 years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience, I bring practical expertise and real-world insight to businesses seeking clarity, confidence, and peace of mind in their finances.

I earned my Canadian CGA and CPA designation in 2012 and have worked with businesses across a wide range of industries in roles ranging from bookkeeping, senior accounting to finance management and controller-level leadership.

Over the years, I have helped business owners improve financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, streamline accounting processes, and make informed financial decisions with confidence. My approach is practical, transparent, detail-oriented, and always tailored to the unique needs of each client.
